Types of Small Groups While most have some element of Bible study, sharing, prayer and service activities, each group is autonomous and distinct. A Small Group can generally be categorized as one of the following:

Community
This type of group includes mixed adults and has a focus on building community through relationships and Bible study.

Discovery
Discovery is an intentional discipleship program that takes place in community. Discovery is designed to take advantage of how adults learn and focuses on "Head, Heart, Hands", that is, increasing in knowledge of the Word, embracing truth and putting it into practice in daily living.

Seeker
The goal of these groups is to lead others to Christ, and nourish & develop new believers.

Accountability
These folks join together to cultivate deeper levels of intimacy and accountability in their relationships and activities. These groups are normally gender based.

Service/Ministry
These people focus on a common ministry vision or task.
