Vision Statement Surely, the mission of every church is to preach the Gospel and disciple believers with the Word of God. But there is freedom in how we articulate that mission.
A church's vision statement is an attempt to capture in words a God-sent picture of the future. It is not to be some clever scheme conjured up by a committee. A vision statement puts feet on the general mission. Our vision statement puts a target on the wall for us. And most importantly, as you investigate Fellowship, we hope it causes you to say, "Wow! I want to be a part of this!" Hopefully, God will lead you to take our vision statement and make it your own.
Christians are people of hope. And we believe that real hope is found only in Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "Christ in you" is the "hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27). Jesus has transformed our lives, giving us purpose, hope and the ability to become more like Him. For us, life with Him is so much sweeter. We want to share this hope with our community, and with people we see everyday. So, at Fellowship, "we proclaim Him" and want to help people experience spiritual wholeness and know what it means to be "complete in Christ" (Colossians 1:28). That is our vision, and that is our commitment.
