Fellowship Bible Church has always placed a high value on the spiritual and emotional health of our families. The Counseling ministry has nurtured and strengthened the quality of personal and family life through biblically based counseling at no cost to regular attendees here at Fellowship. Bob Roland, our Family Ministries Pastor, and Dee Goar, our Licensed Professional Counselor, have counseled many hundreds of individuals over the years.

Dee is once again available to counsel FBC members at no charge. Dee will continue to counsel people from the community for a modest fee. Appropriate documentation will be provided for those who pay a fee and choose to file for insurance reimbursement.

Meet our experienced and qualified Counseling Staff
Bob Roland - Pastor of Family Ministries
Bob is the Family Ministries Pastor on our staff. He has a Bachelors degree from Northeastern Bible College, a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, and completed course study toward a doctorate at Reformed Theological Seminary. He has many years of pastoral counseling experience.
Bob serves on the Leadership Team and provides oversight for the Children's Ministry.
In addition to personal counseling, Bob teaches courses on marriage and parenting, and is a speaker at marriage seminars, retreats, and Adult Elective classes offered on Sunday mornings. He and his wife Jeanne, have been married over forty years, and have three adult children.

Matt Farlow - Spiritual Life Pastor
Matt serves Fellowship as Spiritual Life Pastor, seeking to connect with adults in all stages of life and shepherd them toward greater maturity in Christ. Matt provides sound Biblical counsel along with the encouragement to put it into practice. Matt also works with many volunteer leaders as well as the other pastors on staff, helping them to lead effectively in caring for and pastoring those who call Fellowship home.
Prior to coming to Fellowship, Matt served as a lead pastor at Crossroads Church in Ruston, Louisiana (a church plant of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, Arkansas). He also served as the Pastor of Church Life at Denton Bible Church in Denton, Texas. His educational background includes a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas, a MBA from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas (whoop!) The joys of his life are his wife, Jennifer (also a Texas native), and their three daughters, Ellie, Chloe and Emma.

Dee Goar - Counselor, Fellowship Counseling LLC
Dee is a licensed, professional counselor with a Masters Degree in counseling, and joined the staff of FBC in 1995 with a long list of credentials.
Before moving to Atlanta, she was the Director of Bergamo Counseling Center in Dayton, Ohio and prior to that served as the Director of the Women's Crisis Center and on the clinical faculty of Weber State College in Ogden, Utah. She was a therapist with Alpha Care Christian Therapy Service here in Atlanta from 1989 to 1997.
Dee is a conference speaker, does occasional programs for Christian radio, and, with Bob, teaches Adult Electives here at FBC. She and her husband, Larry, have three adult children.
