Marriage Mentoring Lead Couple
Terry and Allison Hamilton met at the University of Illinois.
They married in 1988 and started their family in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. After 10 years of marriage, they were fairly disillusioned. They were staying together out of stubbornness. They started working on their marriage after attending a FamilyLife Weekend to Remember. While their marriage is still a work in progress, getting God's plan for marriage was a life changing experience. They believe sharing encouragement and hope with other couples is one way God wants them to serve His people. They've pursued that goal by being a volunteer at The Weekend to Remember, leading Homebuilder's couples Bible studies, and teaching Sunday school classes for adults and teens. They moved to Georgia in summer of 2007 and became members of FBC that fall. With the help of some very wise couples, they have started a marriage mentoring network for newlyweds, couples in crisis, and couples trying to take their marriage from good to great. They are both very excited to see what God has in store for the marriages at FBC. Allison is CEO of the Hamilton household and Terry is a veterinary oncologist.
