Supporting Special Needs Families through Resources, Prayer, and Friendship.
We keep in touch with our special needs families through email for prayer and upcoming events. Area churches offer events to all special needs families and we keep our families informed.
Parents support one another by referring community resources, and helping get the best services for our children's education.
We meet once a month to take time to laugh and share stories of our latest adventures in parenting. This means we meet at local establishments who will accommodate a large, loud, ladies group. We have painted pottery together, broken bread together, and even learned to belly dance! We find that these outings reduce stress and help us make friends with women who really understand us. If you would like to be included on the email list please email Amy Richards email Or call Amy for more information 770.827.5427.
Family event Fellowship offers an annual family event where special needs children and their families can meet and play with other kids like them. The 2010 event was held at Monkey Joe's after hours, so the Special needs families had the "run of the place", literally. This event was funded by a generous donation from Monkey Joe's owner Brook Hawkins and co- sponsored by Johnson Ferry Baptist church, and FBC.
