Sonya McRay Welcoming & Connecting Coordinator

As Coordinator of this vital ministry, Sonya's goal is to provide a culture of caring and connectedness that makes everyone who encounters us experience a sense of belonging. She is responsible for the Next Steps classes that provide people with a more detailed look at who Fellowship is and what we are about. The class is designed to help give an in depth view of Fellowship's core values, ministries, and opportunities to serve as well as a way to connect with others and become a member of the church.

Believing that service can be a pathway to connectedness, Sonya has been active in Children's Ministry with preschoolers up to elementary-age children, as a small group co-leader with the Women's Ministry and as an actress with the Drama group. The McRays have been attending Fellowship since moving to Roswell in 1997. Introduced to the church through the playground, they stayed for the relevant Bible teaching and the authentic worship. Sonya and her college sweetheart, Nelson, enjoy beach time with their children Nia and Nevin.
Lisa Montgomery Welcoming & Connecting Assistant

Through her spiritual gifts of serving and encouragement, it is Lisa's desire to help visitors and new members feel at home and connected, whether it is through visiting the Welcome Center, attending First Look or Next Steps, or in a specific ministry they might be passionate about at Fellowship.

Having worked in the past as a prayer room coordinator, preschool teacher, and corporate personal assistant, Lisa has been able to use her spiritual gifts to work with others and enhance their ministry/roles in the workplace. But her family is her passion and spending time together is a top priority. Lisa enjoys all aspects of food from cooking to collecting cookbooks; travel of any kind, whether for pleasure or mission trips; being part of a women's choral group called Jubalheirs; and being involved in women's bible studies. She and Pete have a blended family which includes a daughter and two sons, as well as two granddaughters.
