Kris Eldridge Community Outreach ⁄ Mission 1:8 Pastor

Working with community partners, schools, and civic groups are just a few of the aspects of Kris' work. He is developing the External Focus strategies of FBC to help equip members to more effectively share Jesus with their families, neighbors, and community. He finds great joy in seeing people come to Christ as well as seeing the church 'leave the building' to show Jesus to the lost community. His goals are to have every member of FBC involved in the community, sharing their faith, and seeing many in the Roswell area come to Christ.

With a BA in social work, five years of volunteer work in community outreach and evangelism, and five years of social work experience with non-profit organizations, Kris went on to study at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary getting a degree with an emphasis in Evangelism and Missions. He served two Kentucky churches in the area of Evangelism and Community Outreach. His passion is to serve in a church that understands that external outreach and evangelism go hand-in-hand. Kris and wife Kimberly, a social worker, have two young children that keep them very busy.
Deb Zurcher Global Missions Assistant

As Global Missions Assistant, Deb handles the details for the approximately 30 short-term mission trips sponsored by FBC each year. She communicates with the team leaders to ensure that all the necessary documents are received and processed for each trip.

Deb has a BA in Sociology from Indiana University. For eight years she was Special Events Director at WBCL, a Christian radio station in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Upon their relocation to Atlanta, she worked as Assistant Marketing Director for a commercial real estate developer. She also enjoyed being a substitute teacher for two years at her sons' elementary school.

As Deb faced her 'empty nest' she prayed for the Lord to show her how best to use her time in serving Him. She gives praise to Him for allowing her the privilege to work with the dedicated and Christ-centered staff at FBC. Deb has traveled through South Africa and witnessed what God is doing through Nazarene Missions. She has also traveled with her family to Guatemala as part of the Medical Missions Ministries team. Her husband, Bob, and son, Jarrod, have also led teams to Guatemala. Missions has always had a special place in her heart, and she is thrilled to be a part of the FBC Missions team and see what God is doing to change lives!

Deb, her husband Bob, and two sons, Jarrod and Brent, became connected to FBC in 2003, through a short-term missions letter they received! God has certainly blessed their family through FBC, including their oldest son, Jarrod, meeting his wonderful wife, Katie Whitaker, in the youth group!! Deb and Bob are assistant teachers in Kids Zone and are a part of a great small group.

Deb's greatest joy is spending time with her family and friends. She also loves to watch old movies, read and relax at the beach.
Gary Klingler Shepherding Elder ⁄ Global Missions Pastor

Gary and Carol arrived in Atlanta in 1984 and on the recommendation of some friends in Dallas, TX checked out Fellowship Bible Church. Their kids were in 7th, 8th and 9th grades, so a great youth ministry was critical. Fellowship had that and the Klinglers never left. Over the years they have been "background" people who have lead dozens of small groups, discipled high school kids, headed the missions ministry, discipled adults and invested in people. Gary served on the Guiding Elder board from 1984 to 2000.

Carol is a part time hospice nurse and cares for her patients in their homes. Gary was involved in software sales prior to joining the FBC staff as the Global Missions Pastor.

Carol grew up in Massachusetts and came to Christ when she was 12 during a summer camp. Gary is originally from Ohio and prayed to receive Christ at age 7 during a series of evangelistic services at the church he attended as a child. Gary is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute's mission aviation program. Carol graduated from West Suburban Hospital school of nursing in Chicago. They met in a church in St. Louis where they were both visiting relatives. After their marriage in 1968, they joined Wycliffe Bible Translators and served with that organization for 11 years. Seven of those years were spent in Papua New Guinea where Gary was a pilot. The Klinglers have 3 married children and 9 grandchildren.
Lynne Payne ι Community Outreach AA

On the FBC staff since 2005, Lynne has also assisted the HR Director and Ministry Development Pastor. She and her husband have been actively involved at FBC since 1999 leading adult small groups, greeting worshippers, loving and caring for toddlers in the nursery, and participating in men's and women's ministries.
